Lagos pays N2bn to 644 pensioners

The Lagos State Government says it has paid N2.017 billion in retirement advantages to 644 pensioners.
According to NAN, the Director-General of the Lagos State Pension Commission, Mr Babalola Obilana, disclosed this on Wednesday on the a hundred and first batch Retirement Bond Certificate presentation for retirees in Lagos State.

He famous that the federal government is dedicated to rewarding those that serve the state.

According to him, the N2.017 billion fee is the retirees’ previous service advantages earlier than the graduation of the Contributory Pension Scheme in 2007.

“It is indeed an honour to recognise and commend the retirees’ hard work and commitment demonstrated throughout their years of service to Lagos State.

“This retirement bond certificate presentation is not just a formality; it is a moment to reflect upon the remarkable contributions you all have made,” he acknowledged.
