J.Cole said I’m a good songwriter – Simi

Popular Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosoko, simply known as Simi, has claimed that iconic American rapper, J.Cole hailed her amazing songwriting skills.

She said the Grammy-winning rapper’s praise was a sign that she has “made it.”

The mother of one disclosed this on X, formerly known as Twitter on Friday.

She wrote, “JCole said my pen is lit. So yea. I made it mommy.”

A curious fan quoted her post, questioning if she would have disclosed the information if it were to be a Nigerian rapper that commended her.

The fan wrote: “If rugged man or mode9 or vector said this same thing to you…would you tweet it?”

Simi simply replied: “Probably not.”

Media Talk Africa recalls that Burna Boy recently claimed in an interview with Rap Radar that J.Cole referred to him during a studio session as “a reincarnation of Tupac.”

His claim elicited mixed reactions on social media.
