G-20 Summit: President Tinubu Meets With Service Chiefs

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has met briefly with his service chiefs to receive briefings from them following their operations ahead of the proposed trip to India to participate in the G-20 summit.

The meeting, which is a regular routine at the Presidential Villa, had in attendance the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja, his Navy counterpart, Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar.

The meeting which was held behind closed doors, at the State House updated the President on the general security situation in the country, including a review of areas where the service chiefs need to improve on efforts to bridge gaps.

President Tinubu would later on Monday embark on his trip to New Delhi, India to attend the G-20 Leaders Summit scheduled to be held between the 9th and 10th of September.
