NLC warning strike: Federal workers comply, shut secretariat in Oyo [PHOTOS]

Workers who are on the payroll of the federal government of Nigeria in Oyo State, on Tuesday, complied with the directive of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to observe a two-day warning strike.

Media Talk Africa reports that the NLC had earlier urged workers across the country to observe a two-day warning strike.

The strike became necessary in view of the need to provide solutions to the recent removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

Media Talk Africa reports that the workers at the Federal Secretariat in Ibadan on Tuesday shunned their offices to comply with the directive.

Our correspondent who visited the area in the morning, observed that the Federal Secretariat complex in Ibadan was under lock and key.

It was learnt that the workers shunned work.

Labour activists also barricaded the gate of the secretariat to ensure compliance.
