VP Shettima To Visit Kebbi, Sokoto States

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima will pay working visits to Kebbi and Sokoto States in Northwest Nigeria.

In Kebbi State, the Vice President will pay a condolence visit to the family of the of late Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Abubakar Giro in Argungu.

Sheikh Giro, who died on Wednesday, was until his death, an Islamic scholar and the National Organising Secretary of Jama’atul Bidi’a Wa’ikamatul Sunnah (JIBWIS).

Already, the house of the late cleric and the palace of the Emir of Argungu, are wearing new looks, with security personnel maintaining surveillance, in readiness for the arrival of the Vice President.

VP Shettima will later move to Sokoto State, to inaugurate some projects executed by the State Governor, in commemoration of 100 days in office of the State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, who assumed office on May 29, 2023.

The Vice President will continue the inauguration of projects in Sokoto on Monday, before returning to Abuja.
