Minister pledges to actualise Tinubu’s agricultural transformation agenda

The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi has assured of the commitment of the ministry towards the actualisation of President Bola Tinubu’s agricultural transformation agenda.

Abdullahi spoke in Minna during a grand reception organized by the Niger State government for all elected officers, political appointees and other stakeholders in the state.

The minister explained that the President is doing everything possible to ensure the success of his agenda for agricultural transformation and food security.

He further explained that the decision to pick both the senior and junior ministers for Agriculture and Food Security from Borno and Niger, the two largest states that are seriously hit by insecurity, was informed by the President’s commitment to agricultural revolution.

Though he admitted that the two states are bedeviled by insecurity,
Abdullahi noted that the ongoing onslaught against the criminals by the military and other security agencies will bring the situation under control to pave way for farming activities.

Earlier, Niger State governor, Rt. Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago, assured the minister that the state will key into the President’s agricultural transformation agenda.

End.
