Gombe United’s chief warns players against complacency ahead new season

Gombe United General Manager Abubakar Yellow Abubakar has admitted that it is difficult to build a competitive team in a short period of time.

The Savannah Scorpions boss urged the players to maintain a high standard in achieving their targets.

He urged the players not to get carried away with the results of their pre-season games.

Gombe United have recorded one win and a draw in their last two friendly matches.

“Too much has happened to this team. We are still building. We are not there yet,” Abubakar stated.

“It is brutally difficult to develop a spirit as a team to fight.”

Gombe United will take on Kano Pillars in another warm-up encounter on Wednesday.
