Family announces Olukotun’s funeral rites

The family of the late renowned political scientist and columnist, Prof. Ayo Olukotun, has announced the programme for his funeral rites.

According to the funeral programme, on Thursday, January 26, there will be a commemoration service at the Institute of Governance, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago–Iwoye, Ogun State.

Also on the same day, there will be a Service of Songs at 4pm at the Chapel of Resurrection Hall, University of Ibadan.

On January 27, interment will take place by 10am at the Resurrection Parks & Garden, Oke Fun Fun after a Transition Service at the Chapel of Resurrection Hall.

Olukotun, until his death on January 4, was a popular award-winning columnist. His insightful and thought-provoking essays that appeared on the back page of the newspaper on Fridays explored the interface between politics, governance and development.
