APC North West Must Unite to Retain Relevance, Says Datti Muhammad

In a bid to uphold its dominance and political relevance in the North West region, the All Progressives Congress (APC) must foster unity, according to Garba Datti Muhammad, the new national vice chairman of the party for the region.

Muhammad, during his inaugural meeting with the zonal executive officers at the party’s zonal secretariat in Kaduna, emphasized the need for unity and harmony in order to elevate the party’s fortunes in the region, as highlighted in a statement by Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, the zonal publicity secretary of the APC.

“The zone must remain committed to safeguarding its political influence. I, however, recognize the significance of the North West zone in the political development of our nation,” said Muhammad.

He further pledged to utilize his vast experience and connections to strengthen unity and cohesion among party members in the geopolitical zone. Muhammad assured that the party’s national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, shares the same commitment to ensuring the success of the APC in the region.

The appointment of Muhammad as the new vice chairman followed the resignation of Salihu Mohammed Lukman on July 26, 2023. His official swearing-in ceremony took place on Friday, August 25, 2023.
