Google Unveils Upgraded Bard Chatbot with Enhanced Features

In a recent statement, global tech giant Google announced the addition of innovative features to its generative Artificial Intelligent Bard chatbot. The upgraded chatbot now incorporates fact-checking capabilities and the ability to analyze users’ personal Google data.

Google’s disclosure, released on Wednesday, provided users with a comprehensive overview of the newly added features. Previously restricted to sourcing answers from the web, Bard AI chatbot can now also scan users’ Gmail, Documents, and Drive to assist in finding information.

One of the notable enhancements is the chatbot’s capacity to summarize the contents of an email and extract essential information stored in Drive. Additionally, Bard users can now seamlessly connect with Maps, YouTube, and Google flights and hotels through its extensions feature.

The statement highlighted several other key features, including the ability to collaborate on creative projects seamlessly across multiple languages and countries. The upgraded Bard chatbot also offers assistance with complex coding inquiries and enables users to explore various topics from diverse perspectives with enhanced precision and accuracy.

This announcement follows Google’s introduction of Bard on February 6, 2023, as a direct competitor to ChatGPT, a Microsoft-backed (MSFT.O) OpenAI chatbot.
