The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, FCT-MPWB, has issued a statement advising prospective pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj to Saudi Arabia to deposit a sum of N4.5 million with the board. This payment will be held temporarily until the actual fee is determined.
Ahmad Saleh, the Assistant Chief Information Officer of the board, made this announcement in a press release in Abuja on Friday. He also revealed that the selling of forms and registration for the Hajj pilgrimage would commence on September 25th.
To complete their registration, Mr. Saleh instructed prospective pilgrims to make the payment to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, via a bank draft. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of submitting valid international passports and National Identification Numbers at the registration point in any of the six Area Councils in the FCT.
“It is important to note that the board does not accept cash deposits and does not entertain registration by proxy. Furthermore, the pilgrims will be served on a first-come, first-served basis,” Mr. Saleh stated firmly.
