2024 Hajj: FCTA Advises Intending Pilgrims to Deposit ₦4.5 Million

The Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, MPWB, under the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has issued a directive to prospective pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj to deposit a minimum of four million, five hundred thousand Naira (₦4.5 million).

In an official statement released by the Assistant Chief Information Officer of the Board, Mr. Ahmad Saleh, the MPWB urged intending pilgrims to make the payment through a bank draft payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja.

The statement also announced that the sale of forms and registration for the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage will commence on September 25th, 2023, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Prospective pilgrims are required to submit a copy of their valid international passport and National Identification Number (NIN) during registration at the Area Officers’ offices located in the six Area Councils of the FCT.

It is important to note that the Board strictly adheres to the principles of first-come, first-served basis and does not accept cash deposits or registrations by proxy.
