Famous Nollywood actress and producer, Mary Njoku, has strongly criticized the demand for the late singer Mohbad’s wife to undergo a DNA test for her son, calling it an act of pure evil.
In light of the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, which occurred on September 12, 2023, Nigerians, including fans and celebrities, have been relentlessly seeking justice.
Recently, some individuals on social media have started clamoring for the late singer’s wife, Omowunmi, to present her 5-month-old son, Liam, for a DNA test in order to prove her loyalty to her deceased partner.
Mary Njoku, in a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, expressed her strong disapproval of the DNA demand saga. She emphasized that the mere existence of doubts about the child’s paternity would only be valid if the late singer himself had questioned it.
According to Njoku, “Asking a grieving widow to subject her son to a DNA test is nothing short of pure evil. She has just lost her child’s father, her husband, her support system, and protector of over 10 years. Let her mourn in peace.”
Njoku further questions the validity of anyone speculating about the child’s paternity when even the husband himself never expressed any doubts. She concludes her post by urging people to focus on seeking justice for Mohbad.
