Kwara State Advocates Collaboration Among Mining Agencies

The Commissioner of Solid Minerals Development in Kwara State, Abdulquawiy Olododo, has called for increased collaboration and synergy among various Federal Government Agencies involved in the ministry’s operations.

The agencies in question include:

  • Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA)
  • Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development (FMSMD)
  • Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC)
  • Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMR &DC)

The Commissioner made this plea during a meeting with officials from these Federal Agencies at the Ministry’s Conference room.

Emphasizing the need for close harmony, Olododo highlighted the importance of operational efficiency in achieving the ministry’s goals.

He commended the contributions of the Federal Agencies in the state towards the developmental drive of the present administration in harnessing mining potentials.

To effectively combat quackery and illegal activities in the mining sector, Olododo stressed the necessity of effective collaboration and synergy among all stakeholders.

In her contribution, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Funke Sokoya, encouraged the guests to maintain a continuous partnership with the Ministry.

Representatives from the respective Agencies expressed gratitude to the Ministry for inviting them to a roundtable discussion. They pledged their commitment to work diligently in order to assist and support the ministry in achieving its set goals.
