Police Issue Warning as Alleged Manhood Thief is Lynched in Abuja Mob Action

In a shocking incident in the Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, an unidentified man was brutally killed by enraged youths who accused him of stealing a resident’s manhood.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the tragic event to Media Talk Africa on Friday.

According to Adeh, police officers from the Gwagwalada Police Divisional Headquarters quickly responded to the distress call and attempted to rescue the victim from the mob. However, despite their efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries at a hospital he was rushed to.

This incident has drawn attention to the rising menace of mob justice in the nation’s capital, prompting the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, to issue a stern warning against the spread of unsubstantiated information about alleged cases of missing body parts.

CP Garba emphasized that these false rumours only serve to fuel fear and unrest within the community.

The police have also confirmed another incident involving an individual named Rokeeb Saheed, who accused his fellow resident, Lucky Josiah, of stealing his manhood.

Upon conducting a thorough medical examination on Saheed, it was determined that his male organ was in normal condition, and Josiah’s injuries, sustained during the ensuing confrontation, were duly treated.
