Kwara State Welcomes New Police Commissioner to Bolster Security

A new Commissioner of Police has been appointed for Kwara State, located in the North Central region of Nigeria. The distinguished individual chosen for the esteemed position is Olaiya Victor Mobolaji.

Mobolaji’s appointment was made following the approval of the acting Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun.

Prior to his new role, Mobolaji diligently served as the Commissioner of Police at INEC in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Mobolaji will assume the responsibilities of his predecessor, CP Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, who officially retired on September 1st, 2023 after a short tenure heading the Kwara Police Force.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, enthusiastically confirmed the appointment, stating that Mobolaji is expected to assume his new position imminently.
