NDIC Empowers Law Enforcement Agents and Legal Practitioners through Training

In a bid to enhance knowledge and collaboration, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has trained approximately 350 law enforcement agents and legal practitioners since the second quarter of 2023.

Capacity building has been at the forefront of these training initiatives, with a focus on in-house and external auditors. A total of 307 auditors have participated in these programs, equipping them with updated skills and expertise.

Furthermore, the NDIC has extended its training efforts to law enforcement agencies, with 64 participants benefitting from the program. Additionally, five participants received specialized training in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

The main objective of these training sessions is to foster collaboration and improve knowledge of Deposit Insurance laws and practices. By equipping law enforcement agents and legal practitioners with the necessary skills, the NDIC aims to enhance the effectiveness of their roles in the financial sector.

Recognizing the importance of financial literacy, the NDIC remains committed to promoting financial awareness and education in the country. The corporation firmly believes that financial literacy is a crucial foundation for making informed and intelligent financial decisions.
