Eid-Maulud: Jigawa State Declares Thursday as Public Holiday

The Jigawa State Government has announced that Thursday, September 28, 2023, will be observed as a work-free day in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). This declaration was made by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, in a statement released to the public.

The statement, signed by the State Head of the Civil Service and made available by the Public Relations Officer, Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, urges all workers in the State to take advantage of this period to offer prayers for Allah’s protection and guidance for the leaders, as well as for peace and progress in the State and the country as a whole.

This announcement comes after the Federal Government declared Wednesday, September 27th, as a public holiday to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Maulud celebration.
