The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, has called on Nigerians to have faith in the ability of security agencies to ensure the provision of adequate security across the country. Making this statement during his Eid-el-Maulud message in Abuja on Wednesday, Dr Audi emphasized the importance of trusting the agencies responsible for maintaining law and order.
Expressing his concern about the increasing spate of insecurity in the nation, including banditry, kidnapping, abduction, and other criminal activities, Dr Audi urged citizens to continue supporting the government’s efforts towards achieving peace by collaborating with the appropriate authorities to tackle the menace. He emphasized the need for credible information to be provided to security agencies, as this would help in adopting proactive strategies to combat insecurity.
The NSCDC boss reiterated the corps’ commitment to working tirelessly with sister agencies to put an end to insecurity. He also emphasized the determination of the corps to provide adequate protection to lives and property, including fulfilling its mandate of securing critical national assets and infrastructure.
As Muslims celebrate, Dr Audi appealed to the public to embrace and practice peace, following the exemplary life of Prophet Mohammed.
