Maulud Nabi: Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Calls for Global Peace and Harmony

The Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar (OON), has made a rallying call for global peace and harmony on the auspicious occasion of Eid al Maulud.

In a press release issued by Alkasim Abdul-Kadir, Special Assistant on Media and Communications Strategy to the Minister, Ambassador Tuggar urged the Muslim faithful to embody the noble and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad SAW (Peace Be Upon Him) in their daily lives.

Additionally, the Minister fervently prayed for peace and security in Nigeria, with a particular focus on the ECOWAS region and other parts of the world grappling with conflicts and strife. He implored everyone to embrace tolerance, love, and compassion as fundamental virtues.

Reflecting on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, Ambassador Tuggar stated, “the life of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him serves as an inspiring example of piety and humanity. His unwavering commitment to love, compassion, humility, and the instilling of tolerance is greatly needed in these challenging times. May the occasion of Eid al Maulud bring peace and tranquility to our beloved nation and the entire world. Have a delightful celebration.”

Ambassador Tuggar also extended his warmest wishes for a joyous celebration to Muslims worldwide.
