The much-anticipated jersey unveiling ceremony took place at the prestigious Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, located in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State.
Designed with the club’s iconic colours of orange and white, which also happen to be the official colours of Akwa Ibom State, the new jerseys pay homage to the club’s rich history and heritage.
Football enthusiasts and supporters can catch a glimpse of the striking new jerseys when Akwa United competes against Bayelsa United in their opening fixture of the 2023/24 season. The match will be held at the illustrious Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday.
