Ally McCoist Slams Mauricio Pochettino for Benching Chelsea’s Strongest Team in EPL

In a scathing critique, former Rangers and Scotland star, Ally McCoist, has called out Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, for the club’s underwhelming performances this season.

McCoist firmly believes that Pochettino’s team selection has been the primary factor contributing to Chelsea’s lacklustre showing. The experienced football pundit argues that the Argentine has consistently overlooked the club’s most talented players.

An area of particular concern for McCoist is the omission of Ben Chilwell, the assistant skipper, from the starting lineup in recent matches. The decision to relegate Chilwell to the bench has left McCoist shocked and baffled.

“Pochettino needs to play his strongest team,” McCoist declared emphatically during a talkSPORT discussion. “There should be scrutiny on his choices. Chilwell is undoubtedly a key player in Chelsea’s strongest lineup.”

Thus, McCoist insists that the former Southampton manager must shoulder the responsibility for the Blues’ faltering performances by rectifying his team selection.
