EPL: Frank Leboeuf Blames Chelsea’s Recruitment for Club’s Woes

Former Chelsea defender, Frank Leboeuf, has expressed his disgust at the club’s current situation and attributed the blame to those in charge of recruitment.

In a recent interview with Casinos En Ligne, the former France international urged Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly to take swift action and turn things around at Stamford Bridge.

Leboeuf commented, “Top players refuse to come to Chelsea because the club has fallen from grace. It’s shocking to witness the decline that has occurred just two years after their Champions League triumph.

“I find it absolutely disgusting. I don’t have any personal qualms with Todd Boehly, but urgent changes are necessary to prevent the club from self-destruction.

“In my opinion, the individuals responsible for recruitment are the ones primarily at fault. While it’s reasonable to sign young players to long-term contracts, the board has failed to maintain a balanced team.”

Following their recent 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at home, Chelsea currently finds themselves in the lower half of the Premier League table.
