Former FCT FEMA Boss bows out

The erstwhile Director General of the FCT Emergency Management Agency, (FEMA), Abbas G. Idriss has formally handed over to the Director of Finance and Account, (DFA), of the Agency, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo.

At a brief handover ceremony at the FEMA corporate office, Idriss promised that his doors would always be open to FEMA staff whenever the need arises.

Recall that Dr Abbas Idriss who is the pioneer DG of the Agency announced his voluntary resignation from FEMA on the 18th of September, 2023.

Receiving the handover notes, the Acting Director General and DFA, Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo promised to consolidate the policies of Idriss.

He commended the former DG for his developmental strides, particularly his efforts to build FEMA from scratch.

Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo holds a BSC, (Accounting) from Ambrose Alli University, Epkoma, MA, Business Admin (Finance) from the Nasarawa State University and is presently a Ph.D. student of the same institution.

He is a member of various professional bodies, including Fellow, Certified National Accountants (FCNA), Fellow Certified System Accountant (USA), Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, 2019 Institution of Certified Public Accounts of Nigeria, 2007 among others.

Mohammed Ibrahim Sabo was elevated to Director of Finance and Account, FCT UBE Board in 2019 and posted to FEMA in 2022.
