The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has extended his congratulations to Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 63rd Independence Anniversary. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Hon Eseme Eyiboh, the Senate President acknowledged the present challenges in the country but also highlighted the numerous achievements over the past 63 years that give hope for a brighter future.

Senator Akpabio recognized the unique struggles that Nigeria has faced as a nation but emphasized that every country has its own path with its own challenges. He expressed his confidence that Nigeria is now on the right track to rediscovery and the promotion of national cohesion in the face of these challenges.
