Independence Day Reflection: Embracing Nigeria’s Cultural Diversity

By Gloria Essien, Abuja

As Nigeria commemorates its 63rd independence anniversary from colonial rule, Mr. Eromosele Odia, the Global President of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, is calling on citizens to take a moment to reflect on the nation’s rich history, culture, and diversity.

Mr. Odia emphasizes the importance of upholding values such as peace, equality, and progress.

“As proud Nigerians, it is our responsibility to uphold the democratic values that our forefathers envisioned,” Mr. Odia said.

He further advises all Nigerians to remain law-abiding, caring, and environmentally conscious citizens who contribute to the nation’s growth and prosperity.

“Happy Independence Day to all Nigerians! Today, we celebrate our freedom and the birth of our great nation. Let us remember those who fought to secure our independence and those who continue to protect it. May we cherish the unity in our diversity and work together to make our country even stronger. May we continue to work towards a brighter future for our beloved country,” he added.

Mr. Odia also prays for the continued progress and longevity of Nigeria.
