Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Focuses on National Security through Enhanced Intelligence Sharing

Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to improving intelligence sharing and inter-service collaboration among the country’s security agencies. The President, in his nationwide broadcast on the occasion of Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary, emphasized the utmost importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.

In his address, President Tinubu expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian security forces for their sacrifices in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity. He also assured that his administration will continue to equip the forces, recognizing their vital responsibility in rebuilding the capacities of the nation’s security services.

President Tinubu stated, “My administration shall always give the highest priority to the safety of the people. Inter-service collaboration and intelligence sharing have been significantly enhanced. Our Service Chiefs have been assigned the crucial task of rebuilding the capabilities of our security services.”

He further extended his appreciation to the gallant security forces, acknowledging the ultimate sacrifices they have made. President Tinubu emphasized that their legacy will forever be remembered and honored, along with their families.

Additionally, President Tinubu pledged that future key appointments will adhere to Nigeria’s constitutional guidelines and be conducted with fairness for all individuals. He highlighted the importance of inclusivity, stating that special attention would be given to women, youth, and people living with disabilities.

“We shall continue to make key appointments in line with the provisions of the Constitution and treat all individuals fairly. Women, youth, and the physically challenged shall receive due consideration in these appointments,” he proclaimed.
