The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has called on all Nigerians to come together in prayer for the continuous peace and prosperity of the country.
In his message to commemorate the 2023 Independence Day celebration, Governor Adeleke emphasized the need for unity among political, religious, traditional, and business leaders. He urged them to work collectively to find lasting solutions that align with the vision of Nigeria’s past heroes who fought for national independence.
The Governor acknowledged the challenging economic and security situation prevailing across the country and urged leaders to collaborate in finding solutions. He emphasized the importance of seeking divine intervention through prayer, stating, “I believe in prayer, so I will always urge us to continue praying.”
Reflecting on the vision of Nigeria’s founding fathers, Governor Adeleke highlighted the need for leaders to be committed to the progress of society, while followers should hold leaders accountable. He emphasized the collective responsibility of all citizens for the sake of prosperity.
Governor Adeleke also reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability in the governance of Osun State. He mentioned the upcoming IPADE IMOLE event, where he plans to present a comprehensive report on his stewardship to the people. The event aims to foster open governance and provide an opportunity for citizens to have direct access to the state’s governance book.
Furthermore, the Governor expressed his determination to fulfill the expectations of the people who voted overwhelmingly for him. He emphasized the need for a responsive and accountable leadership that considers the office as a privilege.
