The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 63rd independence anniversary.
In a statement issued by her Special Adviser for Media and Publicity, Rasheed Zubair, Dr. Edu emphasized that this anniversary is a momentous occasion for all Nigerians, irrespective of their backgrounds, tribes, or religious affiliations. She urged citizens to celebrate the accomplishments achieved through the struggle for freedom and to honor the sacrifices made by the founding fathers.
Dr. Edu called for a rekindling of faith in Nigeria, assuring Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is a transformative blueprint for a brighter future.
The Minister urged all citizens, particularly the youth and women, to hold on to their sense of patriotism and collaborate with the government in the process of rebuilding and restructuring the nation, which will lead to greater dividends for everyone.

As a young person myself, I implore the younger generation to view the survival and success of Nigeria as an essential duty. The Minister also appealed to all Nigerians to rally behind President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at eradicating hunger and multidimensional poverty in the country.
“Our esteemed president requires the collective support of Nigerians to enable him to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda, which promises a new lease of life for every citizen,” she emphasized.
