Nasarawa State Governorship Election Tribunal Dismisses NNPP Petition Against Governor Abdullahi Sule

The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Tribunal has reached a decision regarding the petition filed by the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governorship candidate, Abdullahi Maidoya, after the 2023 general election. In a recent ruling, the tribunal dismissed the petition against Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Abdullahi Maidoya had taken legal action after Governor Abdullahi Sule was declared the winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in Nasarawa State. However, the three-man panel, led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, stated that the petition lacked merit and subsequently dismissed it.

Justice Ezekiel Ajayi further explained that the petitioner failed to provide sufficient evidence to prove the allegations of over voting and disruption of votes beyond a reasonable doubt.
