A wave of jubilation engulfed the home of David Ombugadu as fervent supporters, including members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), gathered to celebrate his recent triumph at the tribunal.
In a display of unwavering loyalty, these supporters, steadfast through torrential rain, flooded Ombugadu’s residence in Akwanga, Nasarawa North Senatorial District. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Ombugadu extended his appreciation to his dedicated followers.
Unleashing his excitement, Ombugadu exclaimed, “Where is my certificate? We have emerged victorious!”
Earlier this week, the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal delivered a groundbreaking verdict, stripping Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of his title and declaring Ombugadu as the rightful winner of the March 18 gubernatorial poll.
Headed by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, the three-man panel concurred that Ombugadu, the charismatic PDP candidate, secured the election triumphantly. The court further emphasized that the petitioner’s legal representative presented irrefutable evidence, leading to the nullification of Sule’s election.
