BBNaija All Stars: Uriel Discredits Pity Votes, Asserts Ilebaye Deserved Victory

Uriel Oputa, a former housemate of Big Brother Naija All Stars, has vehemently refuted the notion that Ilebaye emerged as the winner of the N120 million grand prize through “pity votes,” as speculated.

The accusations of emotional blackmailing to sway audience votes against Ilebaye were made by some Nigerians, including former BBNaija star, Nina.

In response, Uriel took to her social media page to deliver a video message, highlighting the absence of predefined criteria for winning a reality TV show.

She emphasized that winning could be a result of forming meaningful relationships, possessing star power, or even being treated in a certain way by fellow contestants.

Uriel fervently stated, “Can we just dismiss the narrative that Baye’s victory was due to pity votes? Let me ask you this: is there a specific formula for winning a game show?”

“Some individuals win by cultivating relationships, while others triumph because they are perceived as powerful. Additionally, there are those who emerge victorious based on certain actions directed at them, and their subsequent reactions,” she added.

Uriel then posed a thought-provoking question, “Does it truly matter how a person wins a game? Ultimately, it is just a game.”
