Rivers PDP assures Gov Fubara of unwavering support after victory in tribunal

The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has welcomed the decision of the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, which upheld the victory of Governor Siminialayi Fubara, in the March 18th 2023 governorship election.

The PDP in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Tambari Gbara, stated, “The decision of the Tribunal did not come as a surprise, rather an affirmation of the massive support the party and its candidate enjoyed from Rivers people.”

The party, while describing the ruling of the tribunal as flawless and truthful, dedicated the victory to God, the party faithful, and the entire people of Rivers State.

The party congratulated Fubara and “assured him of their support and loyalty to his administration”.

Media Talk Africa recalls that the All Progressives Congress, APC, Labour Party, LP, National Rescue Movement, NRM and Accord Party, AP, had approached the tribunal, seeking to nullify the election of Governor Siminialayi Fubara of the PDP.

However, the tribunal dismissed all the petitions for lacking in merit, stating that the plaintiffs could not prove their case.
