“Honestly speaking, I have decided to buy a charcoal cooking pot to start using charcoal for all the cooking in my house.

“We are abandoning cooking gas for now until the price goes down again. Thank God I have an electric cooker at home too, anytime there is a power supply, we’ll make use of that,” he stated.

Also, Maria Daniel, a pupil on the Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa University (ATBU) lamented that she had deserted cooking gas.

“I’m just a student, how much is my pocket money? I will be buying gas at 1,000 per kg. I think the government needs to do something as life is unbearable for students here,” she stated.

Media Talk Africa additionally noticed that some gas depots within the Bauchi metropolis have shut down operations as a results of the hike within the price of LPG.
