Beware of scammers – Taraba commissioner warns public

The Taraba State Ministry for Youth and Sports Development has suggested the folks of the state and Nigerians to be cautious of unscrupulous parts parading themselves as officers of the ministry.

Some individuals had been stated to have been going across the state defrauding people, teams and company organisations within the identify of soliciting help for the ministry.

An announcement issued on Thursday in Jalingo, the state capital, by the Commissioner of the ministry, Joseph Joshua, stated the warning turned obligatory to forestall the public from falling into the fingers of such individuals whom he described as “enemies of progress “.

He said they were also demanding N50,000 to help people into any sports academy of their choice across the country.

Joshua said the scammers were going about tarnishing the state and ministry’s image, labelling them Governor Agbu Kefas’ enemies.

“Anyone who knows whoever is piloting this merchandise of dishonour, to scam and fuel this act of falsehood to tarnish the image of the present administration, should report to me immediately without any delay, and necessary steps will be taken on such person’s or groups of persons,” he stated.
