The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday upheld the election of Governor Nasir Idris as the duly elected governor of Kebbi State.
The tribunal chaired by Justice Ofem I. Ofem gave the judgement on Thursday.
Media Talk Africa recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had declared Idris of the All Progressives Congress, APC winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election.
But General Aminu Bande (retd) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP had filed a 722-page petition challenging the election of Governor Idris in the March 18 poll.
