World Teachers’ Day: Gombe Governor commits to addressing lecturers’ welfare

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has restated his administration’s dedication to selling the welfare {and professional} progress of educators and tackle infrastructure and human useful resource hole to enhance efficiency and productiveness throughout all ranges of training.

The Governor restated that is his goodwill message on the event of 2023 World Teachers’ Day celebration.

Governor Yahaya emphasised that lecturers have been the bedrock upon which the aspirations of future leaders are constructed, making their position indispensable to the progress of any society.

He praised lecturers in Gombe State and Nigeria at giant for his or her invaluable contributions and sacrifices in direction of societal improvement, acknowledging their relentless efforts in imparting data and knowledge, saying “teaching, though challenging, remains one of the most honourable professions on Earth”.

 On the theme of this 12 months’s World Teachers’ Day, “The teachers we need for the education we want: The global imperative to reverse the teacher shortage,” Governor Yahaya careworn the transformative and important position lecturers play in nurturing the potential of learners.

He, subsequently reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to addressing the scarcity of certified lecturers.

Governor Yahaya prolonged his heat needs to the management of the Gombe State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT and all lecturers within the state, acknowledging their dedication and position in shaping the way forward for college students, even within the face of challenges.

“On this special day, I join the rest of the world in celebrating teachers and acknowledging their dedication to molding the future generation. And I wish to affirm my commitment to working collaboratively with our teachers to build a brighter future for Gombe State through education”.
