Discourage monopoly, businessmen destroying Nigeria’s economy – Primate Ayodele advises Tinubu

The chief of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has suggested President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to discourage monopoly to develop the Nigerian economy.

Primate Ayodele defined that businessmen in search of monopoly in a number of sectors are chargeable for destroying the economy.

He said that the unavailability of competitors in some companies has additional dampened the economy of the nation.

In a press release signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele urged President Tinubu to construct new entrepreneurs in a approach to discourage monopoly which is able to in flip enhance the economy of the nation.

He mentioned: ‘’The authorities ought to encourage new entrepreneurs in companies so as to enhance the economy.

“The top businessmen are the ones destroying the economy of the country, they are sabotage to Nigeria economy, and they are the main people wrecking our economy.

‘’They sponsor a candidate to win an election and in turn, they expect to be given a monopoly in businesses. There is nothing wrong in supporting anyone but trying to be everywhere and seeking for monopoly is bad for our economy.

“It’s only one person that wants to be controlling oil, some want to take over the blue economy, some wants to take over the importation and other sectors, they don’t want rivalry, and it will be affecting us.’’

He further told President Tinubu that these businessmen are not after the interest of Nigeria but their own pockets at the detriment of Nigeria’s economy.

‘’They are not there for the interest of Nigerians, they are there for their own pockets, they say that they employ Nigerians, but how much are they paying them? They are not helping the government. It’s time to change this for the betterment of the country,” he mentioned.
