Monarch laments failed electrification project in Delta community

The Traditional Ruler of Abavo Kingdom in Delta State, Uche Irenuma II, has urged Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to make sure that the electrification contract in his community is executed based on the job specs and contractual settlement, or terminate it.

The contract for electrification was awarded through the tenure of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.

However, the contractor has failed to ship on the project, depriving the community of its advantages.

The monarch made this attraction through the grand finale of the New Yam Festival at his palace over the weekend.

He referred to as on the state authorities to take away any hindrances impeding the execution of the Abavo electrification step-down project in the community.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the substandard work performed by the contractor, the monarch acknowledged that the agency lacked the competence, technical data, and experience wanted to execute the project.

Members of the Obi-in-Council additionally emphasised the importance of the electrical energy project to the community, highlighting the brand new yam pageant as an age-old custom to understand God for a bountiful harvest.
