Abduction of 4 Nasarawa State University Students Confirmed by Police

The Nasarawa State Police Command has officially confirmed the abduction of four students from Nasarawa State University in Keffi. This shocking incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday when a group of gunmen invaded the Ungwan Ka’are area.

According to Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba, has promptly ordered a thorough investigation and a manhunt to ensure the safe rescue of the victims.

“The command is fully aware of the kidnapping. At approximately 12:55 am, we received a distress call reporting that a house in Angwan Kaare, Keffi, was invaded by unidentified armed men,” stated Mr. Nansel.

He further added, “In collaboration with the military, the police swiftly responded and thoroughly combed the area, deploying every effort to locate the victims. However, our search efforts were unfortunately unsuccessful.”

Concerned about the well-being of the kidnapped students, the Commissioner of Police has issued a strong directive to intensify the investigation and locate the culprits in order to safely rescue the four victims, as reported by Mr. Nansel.

The abducted students have been identified as Rahila Hanya, a 100-level student from the Science Laboratory Technology department; Josephine Gershon, a 100-level student of Computer Science; Rosemary Samuel, a 100-level student from the Business Administration department; and Goodness Samuel, a 100-level student from the Geography department.

Abraham Ekpo, the information and protocol officer of the institution, has also confirmed the incident. “We have received a report from the security agencies regarding the abduction of four students. The police and other security agencies are working tirelessly to ensure the safe release of the victims,” assured Ekpo.
