Army Warns Criminals: Peace Non-Negotiable, Benue to be Crushed

Maj.-Gen. Hilary Nzan, Commander of the Army Special Forces 4, has issued a stern warning to all criminal elements in Benue, urging them to leave the state or embrace peace. The commander, based at the Force’s Headquarters in Doma, Nasarawa State, has vowed to crush bandits and other criminals operating in Benue, emphasizing that peace is non-negotiable in the state.

The warning was given by Nzan during the inauguration of Exercise Enduring Peace 111 in Tyodugh, Agan Council Ward of Makurdi, Benue State. A statement released by Maj. Joseph Afolasade, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, provided details of the event.

According to the statement, the commander stressed that any criminal who disregards the warning issued by the command will be relentlessly pursued and eliminated by the armed forces and other security agencies. He specifically cautioned kidnappers, armed robbers, cattle rustlers, as well as defiant herders and farmers, to carefully consider their actions and refrain from engaging in unlawful activities.

“I can assure you that the military and other agencies involved in this exercise will relentlessly pursue and eliminate you, regardless of where you attempt to hide,” declared the commander, adding, “You will face merciless retribution.”

Nzan explained that the objective of the operation is to curb various skirmishes and criminal activities within the state, particularly during the festive season.
