In a dramatic turn of events, four students from Nasarawa State University who were kidnapped on Monday night have been rescued and are now safe.

The Abduction

The kidnapping incident occurred on Monday night when Rahila Hanya (SLT 100 level), Josephine Gershon (Computer Science 100 level), Rosemary Samuel (Business Administration 100 level), and Goodness Samuel (Geography 100 level) were forcibly taken from their off-campus residence near Angwan Kare after BCGat at around 10:30 pm.

Safe and Sound

According to reliable sources, the kidnapped students have been released and are currently under the protection of the 177 Guards Battalion Headquarters in Keffi.

Confirming the news, Muhammed Sakilu Muhammed, Secretary General of the Nasarawa State Youths Forum for Advocacy, issued a statement expressing his relief at the students’ release. “We are pleased to inform you that the four students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), who were kidnapped have been reportedly released today. This development follows the payment of an undisclosed ransom,” he stated.
