Abdullahi Haruna, a resident of Kidandan village in the Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has met a tragic end at the hands of merciless bandits. Haruna was ruthlessly killed shortly after delivering a hefty ransom to secure the release of a villager who had been kidnapped by the heartless criminals.

According to an anonymous vigilante member who witnessed the horrid incident, it took place on Wednesday at approximately 2:00 p.m. at Sabo Layi Kidandan, a known hotspot for bandit activities. The community’s youth leader, Jamil, also confirmed the incident, stating that the bandits had demanded a ransom for one of their captives. Courageously, Mr. Haruna volunteered to transport the money to the criminals.

Tragically, upon collecting the ransom, the bandits attempted to force Haruna off his motorcycle. Refusing to yield, the brave messenger explained that he was merely there to deliver the ransom. In a horrendous display of heartlessness, the bandits ruthlessly shot him for resisting their demands in broad daylight, with innocent bystanders helplessly watching the events unfold in Sabon Layi.

Media Talk Africa made several attempts to contact the Kaduna State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, for his comments on the gruesome incident, but unfortunately, our efforts were unsuccessful. His phone line remained inaccessible at the time of writing.
