Joint Task Forces Established by Nyesom Wike to Tackle “One Chance” Robbery and Kidnappings in FCT

The safety and security of residents in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are of utmost importance to the Minister, Nyesom Wike, who has taken decisive action to address the rising incidents of “one chance” robbery and kidnappings. In a recent meeting of the FCT Security Council, Wike established two joint security task forces to effectively combat these criminal activities.

Joint Task Force on “One Chance” Activities

One of the task forces created by Wike is a Joint Task Force comprising all security agencies operating within the FCT. The primary objective of this task force is to crackdown on the notorious “one chance” operators who have been causing havoc in the region.

The second joint task force established by Wike is specifically designed to curtail the activities of armed robbers, kidnappers, and all other forms of criminal elements within the FCT and its surrounding areas. This task force aims to flush out these criminals and eliminate cross-border crimes.

Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, briefed journalists about the outcomes of the FCT Security Council meeting and assured residents of the FCT of the government’s determination to tackle all forms of criminality. He also emphasized that several “one chance” operators have already been apprehended and will face prosecution once investigations are concluded.

“Residents will witness a significant improvement in the coming days as the task force intensifies its operations,” Garba said.

This laudable initiative by Nyesom Wike demonstrates his commitment to ensuring the security and well-being of residents in the FCT. By establishing these joint task forces, the government aims to create a safer environment free from the threats posed by criminals. With a united front of all security agencies, the eradication of “one chance” robberies and kidnappings is within reach.

Residents of the FCT can now look forward to a safer and more secure future, thanks to the proactive measures put in place by Nyesom Wike and his administration.
