Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has issued a stern warning against the sale of forms for palliatives and social register database in the state.

In a statement released by Muhammad Lawal Shehu, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, it was revealed that there are reports of forms being sold in various communities across Kaduna State, falsely claiming to enable residents to become beneficiaries of government-provided palliatives and other interventions for the most vulnerable members of society.

The state government has strongly condemned this deplorable act by criminal elements and wishes to inform the public that no forms are being sold, under any circumstances, for accessing palliatives or being registered in the Social Register.

Governor Uba Sani is fully committed to ensuring that these palliatives reach the intended beneficiaries. In pursuit of this goal, he established the KDSG Palliatives Committee in July 2023, which consists of representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, other members of Organized Labour, religious and traditional leaders, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Persons with Disabilities, Local Government Chairmen, Youth and Women Groups. The committee has been widely praised for its inclusivity.

All residents of Kaduna State are encouraged to reach out to their respective Local Government Councils for information on the registration process for the Kaduna State Social Register.

The public is urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity or diversion of palliatives to the appropriate authorities. Offenders will face prosecution in accordance with the law once apprehended.
