Guber polls: Bayelsa APC postpones campaign flag-off

Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced the postponement of its official flag-off of the November 11 gubernatorial election campaign earlier scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2023.

According to a statement by the Director, Media and Publicity, Bayelsa APC Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Perry Tukuwei, the postponement was due to some exigences from the office of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who would have loved to be present at the event.

While regretting the inconveniences the postponement may have caused, the APC said a new date will be communicated to all stakeholders, party faithfuls and the general public soon.

The party also urged its supporters to remain steadfast and focus on the main drive to take over leadership from the PDP-led government in the State.

The statement said, “In the meantime, the campaign activities continue in Bayelsa central Senatorial District with Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA on Tuesday and Southern Ijaw Local Government Area will take its turn from Wednesday.”
