Pastor Olatunbosun Emmanuel, the spiritual leader of Jesus Reign Church in Ilorin, Kwara State, has called on Nigerians to pray for the country’s leadership and offer their maximum cooperation to foster a better nation.
Speaking in an interview with NAN on Saturday, Pastor Emmanuel shared his insights on how Nigerians can contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the nation.
He cautioned against the practice of cursing political leaders, emphasizing that this only serves to worsen Nigeria’s situation. Instead, he stressed the need for support and prayers for the country’s leadership.
Pastor Emmanuel observed with concern that many Nigerians have developed a habit of using negative words and curses when referring to their leaders, rather than praying for their success in steering the nation towards prosperity.
“Let us cooperate with them and intercede with prayers for God to soften their hearts towards the welfare of the masses,” Pastor Emmanuel advised. “Cursing them will only exacerbate the state of affairs. Instead, let us support them through prayer, appealing for a change of mindset and a genuine love for the people.”
Furthermore, the cleric urged religious leaders to set a positive example by refraining from making negative remarks about the country’s leadership. He called on them to be agents of hope and unity.
Pastor Emmanuel also encouraged Nigerians to maintain a spirit of optimism, asserting that the country has the potential to regain its lost glory and become great once more.
