Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, Commits to Rescuing Education Sector

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has expressed concern over the deplorable state of the education sector in the state and has vowed to revitalize it. The governor made this commitment during his visit to the College of Nursing Science and Command Science Secondary School (Girls) in the state capital, Gusau.

The inspection tour commenced at Command Science Secondary School (Girls), where Major SN Odeh welcomed the governor and his entourage. During the briefing, the governor was apprised of the school’s condition and the administration’s appeals for government intervention, according to Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor’s spokesperson.

The Governor disclosed that he had recently met with the Commander of the Army Education Corps and promised to conduct an inspection of the army schools in the state. True to his word, Governor Lawal thoroughly examined the classrooms, dormitories, kitchen, and dining hall at Command Science Secondary School.

“I am fully committed to enhancing the overall condition of Command Science Secondary School,” Governor Lawal proclaimed resolutely.

At the Zamfara State College of Nursing Sciences Gusau, the Governor was commended by the provost, Zayyanu Muhammad Isa, for his prior contributions to the college. Even before his election as the State Governor, Lawal had played a significant role in its development, including the construction of 250-capacity hostels for both males and females, as well as other essential facilities, the statement further revealed.
