Bob Grazing Reserve Project Remains on Track Despite Banditry Challenges, Says Niger State Government

The Niger State Government has affirmed its unwavering dedication towards the successful establishment of the Bobi Grazing Reserve, despite the encroachment of bandits in the region. The reserve, spanning across the Mariga and Mashegu Local Government Areas, is set to play a crucial role in bolstering the state’s agricultural sector.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abubakar Usman, reemphasized this commitment during a recent stakeholders meeting held in Minna, where the progress of the Bobi Grazing Reserve project was discussed at length. In his address, Usman reassured attendees that the current administration remains resolute in its determination to implement robust security measures, capable of safeguarding both the reserve and the investments of the private sector within the area.

In addition, the SSG also highlighted the state government’s dedication towards enhancing security and agricultural productivity by spearheading the establishment of a food processing company. This venture aims to not only facilitate the aggregation, processing, and packaging of agricultural products, but also to foster economic growth, promote farming activities, and improve overall food security in the region.

“Our commitment to the agricultural sector is of strategic importance, as we recognize that it serves as the bedrock for food security, employment generation, and the supply of raw materials for industrialization,” stated Usman. “We must therefore seize every opportunity to ensure the successful realization of our objectives and goals.”
