Tinubu Removes and Appoints New Heads of Government Agencies in a Major Shake-up

In a surprising move, President Bola Tinubu has relieved the heads of several government agencies under the Ministry of Information of their duties.

Through a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media Publicity, the names of their replacements were unveiled.

The newly-appointed individuals are as follows:

(1) Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu – Director-General/CEO of the National Orientation Agency (NOA)

(2) Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos – Director-General/CEO of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA)

(3) Dr. Muhammed Bulama – Director-General/CEO of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN)

(4) Mr. Charles Ebuebu – Director-General/CEO of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC)

(5) Mr. Jibrin Baba Ndace – Director-General/CEO of the Voice of Nigeria (VON)

(6) Dr. Lekan Fadolapo – Director-General/CEO of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON)

(7) Mr. Ali Muhammed Ali – Managing Director/CEO of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)

(8) Mr. Dili Ezughah – Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Press Council (NPC)

The statement emphasized that the President expects the newly appointed leaders to bring innovation and create fresh opportunities for Nigerians by implementing effective reforms in these crucial government institutions. These agencies play an integral role in unifying our nation, shaping mindsets, and promoting Nigeria on the global stage.

It is important to note that the appointments mentioned above are effective immediately.
